Now working as a Plumber in Fareham my working life started out as an engineer in the Royal Navy where I gained my initial engineering qualifications and experience. However, I was medically discharged after 8 years and re-trained by the RN as a plumber/bathroom fitter.
This led to me working on new build projects for the next 4 years completing everything from first-fix of an empty shell to second-fix and completion/hand over to the client. This was fast paced and highly labour intensive work but invaluable for gaining knowledge and experience in all aspects of the plumbing trade and a good understanding of the other trades needs on site.
As the housing market started to decline I decided to take a position with a blue chip facilities management company. We typically looked after large corporate banking premises where my primary role was to look after all aspects of hot and cold water systems, a varied role where I may be changing a large circulating pump and radiators one day to replacing toilet seats and unblocking the next!
After recently being made redundant due to the company losing various contracts I’ve decided the time is right to return to sole trading.
I am now working as a Plumber in Fareham, also covering Portsmouth and any areas shown in the map below
